Thanks to everyone who came out for Wednesday’s parent meeting. We covered a lot of ground, and as we move towards Thanksgiving, we certainly have a lot to be thankful for in our Short Avenue community!
Minutes will be posted soon, but here are the highlights of what we have going on between now and the holiday break:
Christmas Tree fundraiser: Between now and November 26 (November 12 for 9′-11′ trees), encourage your friends and family to purchase a beautiful Christmas tree through Premier Trees. (They’re gorgeous, according to all of the families who participated last year!) A flyer went home with your student on Friday, and you can find more details here.
We need holiday boutique donations! If you or anyone you know is crafty, and would like to contribute little gifts (think small – things that could be sold for $1-5 max!) for our children to purchase during the annual holiday boutique (December 3-7), please let us know.
iPad raffle tickets are still available. Between now and December 3, you can still purchase/sell iPad raffle tickets for $5 each. Want a chance to win? Contact FoSA.
Barnes & Noble gift-wrapping, Saturday December 1. If you’d like to help spread holiday cheer, consider signing up to wrap presents at Barnes & Noble on Dec 1. B&N takes care of all of the supplies, and all donations will go directly back to our school! Email Jamie Hazlitt if you’d like to sign up for a shift. (Shifts will be assigned in pairs, so enlist a friend!)
