The excitement is bubbling at Short Avenue Elementary School as Science Mania kicks off this Wednesday, February 13, at 1:00 in the main yard. The teachers will present an exciting science demonstration and explain it to the children using the scientific method. It is always lots of fun and we want to share their enthusiasm with you.
The Two Month Project this year was water bottle rockets which teachers will demonstrate through the entire science project, including the experiment and the scientific method. The Science Board will also be displayed so parents can watch the demonstration and see how it to put it together on a board.
Science Mania is a fantastic opportunity for your child(ren) and you to discover the wonders of science working together. Your thoughtful guidance and assistance with this project will not only ensure that your child(ren) optimize their understanding and appreciation of the subject, but it can encourage and inspire a passion and love of learning. You and your child(ren) will embark on your science experiment using the same scientific method neatly outlined in the Science Mania packets.
We hope you will be able to join us at school this Wednesday at 1:00pm as we begin our fun and exciting Science Mania exploration through science. This demo is is an opportunity for parents to join in the fun and strengthen their understanding of Science Mania, which is especially good for parents of kindergartners, first graders and new students.
Parents are reminded to enter through the main office, sign in and get a visitor pass.
